Why Digital Is Better Than Print

People retain knowledge and experiences better through physical interaction. Still the world prefers digital. “Applications are the new print. Because Digital media is inherently connected to services and new applications - each piece of information can find itself being stretched and morphed in new ways to solve a need.” (Blank).

“Digital is the future of reading. I am finding myself choosing screens over paper.” (Blank). People can download the newspaper, magazines and their favorite book straight to their phones and tablets. Parents are reading bedtime stories to their children from their iPads.

Apple and Android devices are two popular digital devices people use. Google and Apple have applications for these devices to make life easier. You can now FaceTime, Skype and Tango with family members all around the world.

Social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in and Instagram are instant ways you can watch videos and socialize with friends and family. Google, Ask and Bling are digital search engines used now and days over the encyclopedia. Until they realized that it was a portal to tons of family photos. “Then, suddenly, you see the barrier a breakdown, and older brother to join in the service and become active contributors.” (Blank).

Print can retain its original form and digital can be changed (Blank). The world still prefers digital. Everything has become instant gratification. The computer plays a big role on society. “Like many of you, I grew up in an age where libraries were the sole repositories of information” (Blank) No need wasting time visiting a library when you can do a Google search.

  1. I agree with what you said in the third paragraph bout android and apple being the two most popular digital devices that people use. both have the ability to make things more convenient for people in their daily lives. I also agree with your point in your conclusion, " No need wasting time visiting a library when you can do a Google search." Now a days, it's more practical using Google search just to look up information instead of going through encyclopedias in the library.
What I disagree against is your point in the conclusion saying that the world still prefers digital. Not everyone is in favor of the digital media. Some people would rather use print media over digital media because they feel that print media is more authentic and factual than digital media. Overall, your perspective on digital media is reasonable.
